Prior to joining Najmy Thompson, Joann worked in the Private Wealth Services and Mergers & Acquisitions groups of Grant Thornton, LLP. While in PWS, her work comprised of consultative legacy planning and compliance engagements for individuals, trusts, estates, and closely-held businesses. Within Grant Thornton’s M & A group, she performed tax due diligence procedures to help clients understand the underlying tax risks and/or opportunities associated with the proposed purchase or disposition of a business.

Born in Hinsdale, Illinois, Joann has lived across the United States from Orange County, California to Winter Park, Florida. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, spending time with her family, and spoiling her two French bulldogs.
